Joey D to defend European Championship in Torhout (March 18)BCWF will return to Torhout on Saturday, March 18! This time we will be in a new venue: U-Fit Fitness Center.
For this show we have a big title match planned, as new BCWF European Champion 'The One and Only' Joey D will have his first title defense against Sir Philip Charles Hyde from the UK!
'I've only come across him in the Belgian Rumble last year, but in the short time I was in there, he searched me out and got a couple good shots in', says Joey. 'I can respect that. He's a formidable opponent and I'm looking forward to this fight.'
'I will honour Great Britain and bring the European Championship home', Sir Philip Charles Hyde said. 'Joey D is no match for the full force of my wrestling heritage and skill. As Great Britain prepares to finally leave the European Union, Joey D must prepare to lose and for his championship to leave Belgium.'
Will Joey D be successful in his first defense, or will Hyde take the title home to the UK? Come and see what?s sure to be a hard-hitting battle, on March 18, in Torhout!

Belgian Rumble this Saturday!The BWS Championship has a rich history, being captured and defended by stars of all nationalities, as far as the United States. Currently it's held by Matt Scorpion, who will have his work cut out for him this coming weekend, as wrestlers from all over Europe will try to dethrone him!
"Matt acted a bit too cocky to my liking last time I spoke him", says BWS/BCWF president Salvatore Bellomo. "So I thought, let's have him fight 19 challengers at the same time to see if he can back up his attitude. I might even throw in some more names during the match."
Matt was clearly upset when we asked him about the match and declined to give any comment.
The rules are simple: two men will start in the ring, with one man (or woman!) joining them every 90 seconds. Participants are eliminated when thrown over the top rope with both feet touching the floor, and the last one to survive will become BWS Champion!
