Back in April, Alex Legrand and Darkmondo gave each other an early exit from the European Championship Tournament. Darkmondo started troubles when he interfered in Alex's match with Joey D, hitting Legrand with a leather strap, and costing him the match. But during Darkmondo's own match, Alex returned the favor, allowing Eddie Dark to advance in the tournament.

After the match, Alex kept viciously beating on Darkmondo and it took a few men to drag him backstage. Still out for revenge for his tournament loss, Alex demanded a match with Darkmondo in his hometown of Liège. President Bellomo granted him the bout, but on one condition: that they be tied together so none can escape before their score is settled.
